The Spout Springs Repeater Asociation (SSRA) is a nonprofit Corporation registered in the State of Washington. It's sole purpose is assure continuity of the 146.80/20 repeater located at the 5300 Ft level at the top of the ski run at Spout Springs.
The governing body consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer and 4 area Directors elected by a quarum at the annual SSRA Pot Luck Picnic normally held at the Woodward Campground at the north end of Langdon Lake a few miles from the repeater site.
District Directors are chosen to represent members in particular geographic areas. The Mountain Director represents members located roughly to include all of the Blue Mountains and everything south as far as the repeater will reach including the Joseph/Enterprise and Baker City areas and all of the Wallowa Mountains plus the western portion of Idaho that's in range.
The Walla Walla Director represents an area extending into Idaho to the east with the North slope of the Blue Mountains as a southern line then extending west to a roughly north south line from Pendleton to Touchet and straight north from there.
The West End Director represents an area boardered on the east by a line roughly from Touchet to Pendleton then following highway 395 South and all west with the Oregon border being the north most border.
The Tri-Cities Director represents all North of the Oregon Border and east to Touchet west to the limit of coverage.
Ongoing business related to the SSRA is conducted via a net held every 1st and 3rd Wed. of each month at 7:30 PM on the repeater frequency 146.80/20. The net is not exlusively used for SSRA business and all Radio Amateurs are invited to check into the net and are encouraged to present the net with anything of interest, road and weather reports, news of interest ETC.
